I'm listening to the new local radio station that was launched yesterday (Monday 18th). It was formerly known as KCRfm but it has been bought out by The Local Radio Company, revamped and renamed, The Rocket 106.7fm. www.1067therocket.com/ It's good. Currently playing U2 "Stuck In A Moment"

I'm actually listening to The Beatles, Abbey Road album/CD...for reasons Dave will know....lol.
I like to listen to internet radio on the weekends...I keep up with things in Melbourne by listening to 3AW, Melbourne radio...it's talk mostly but on weekends they have footy and some "remember when" programs.
I'll have to check out The Rocket Dave! Cheers!

Where are you from Dave?
Where I live 106.7 Z-Rock is the main station I listen to on the radio and it's heavy rock. I only listen to the radio in the car or sometimes on-line. Other than that I have a pretty big collection of music on my windows media player.

I live in a little place called Prescot on Merseyside. The 106.7fm station I'm listening to is a local station that broadcasts from above Global Video on The Cables Retail Park.

lol Dave, not quite my style there, vhaeraun mudvayne is pretty good, if I recall the drummer is very good, and does crazy drum times, and stuff,... but all the music you listed is rather dark and depressing isn't it?? I try to listen to up beat stuff, since it has a way of creating positive energy around you and within you, also I like to dance, can't buggy to thrashin metal, lol

I live in Chico,Ca and am going to a mudvayne show next Friday here. I've heard some of there music and really like it. I guess the drummers bad ass in concert so that'll be cool. I've been listining to all sorts of stuff lately but I've been really into Modest Mouse for awhile since a co-worker let me borrow an album of theirs and now I have all of them. I like Radiohead, Perfect Circle and Tool and too many to write. One of my favorite bands is Floater who play here in Chico at least 3 times a year and I never miss a show because they're great live always changing up there songs a little to make it a totally new experience everytime(they're coming the week after Mudvayne!!). existenceisadream

Oi...Dave....I like Argent...but don't be dissing KISS! They are incredible live. It's funny, I remember when they came on the music scene (when I was much younger..lol) and I wasn't really into them...they were "ok". A few years ago I spent a fortune on tickets to their show to take my son. I thought I'd be miserable but my son loved them and so I went. Well....I was impressed.....BIG TIME. I loved them! I was snapping photos and bopping to the music. I actually remembered the songs from the old days and sang along. It was great! When I had the photos developed at the local shop the young assistant in the shop was so impressed with my photos and wanted to know how the show was etc.... So now, in my 40's, I'm a big KISS fan....better late then never I say! lol.
Generally I'm a "classic" rock fan, although I listen to all sorts of music...as long as it's good! I don't know many of the new bands (mentioned above in this thread) but if they're good, I'll give them a listen. My son (he's 17) has gotten me into a band called The Drop Kick Murphys...an irish "working man's" band. My taste usually runs towards the "classic" rock bands....The Stones, The Beatles, The Kinks, Led Zep, The Pretenders, The Ramones, U2, The Clash and acts like Springsteen, Bowie, Clapton and Rod Stewart. They were the concerts I went to in my youth and they all put on some incredible shows. As much as I hate when my son "borrows" my old albums and CDs, I'm happy he's discovering the great classic rock bands from my youth.
Right now listening to: Dave Brubeck...classic jazz! Cheers!

thats cool Beth that your son likes your music, I always liked my moms music, and I still do, bob siegar,Neil Young, fleetwood mac..to name a few.. right now I am listening to Jeff Buckly, his dad was a singer songwriter in the 60's, he was very good, and his son is just as good if not better. although both of them ard dead, and I think they died on the same day, odd story, but they both had beautiful voices and could sing so well...

Another singer I love (and unfortunately is deceased) is Eva Cassidy. She's American but only gained popularity in The UK. She has the voice of an angel!
